Chocolate Tasting Date

Happy February! In honor of the "month of romance", among other things, I have a date planned around the 3rd most popular gift given on Valentine's Day (according to my 2 minutes of research): chocolate.

Disclaimer: if you or your significant other do not like chocolate, this is not the date for you. You don't want to be forced to eat something you hate in the name of romance. Go check out one of my other ideas instead.

Now, there are two ways you do this date. Either you can go into a store and purchase some fancy chocolates or you can order a prepared box online.

If you just want to buy it online, I would recommend this box of "Trader Joe's Chocolate Passport Single Origin 8x 45g bars". It is easy to order and they already picked out the chocolates for you.

I will leave the link here:

If you would rather have the shopping included in the date there are a couple more options. My top three choices would be Whole Foods, Target, and Walmart. Here is a list of all the chocolates I would try from each store.

Whole Foods:

-Chuao Chocolatier Honeycomb Dark Chocolate Bar, 2.8 oz

-Chuao Chocolatier Salted Chocolate Crunch Chocolate, 2.8 oz

-Chuao Chocolatier Firecracker Chocolate, 2.8 oz

-Chuao Chocolatier Cheeky Cheeky Churro Chocolate Bar, 2.8 oz

-Chuao Chocolatier Oh My Smores! Chocolate, 2.8 oz

Target:

-Ghirardelli Premium Assortment Chocolate Squares - 15.77oz

-Lindt Lindor Assorted Chocolate Truffles - 6oz

-Godiva Assorted Cake Truffles 3.8oz

Walmart:

-Ferrero Collection Premium Gourmet Assorted Hazelnut Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and Coconut, Great Holiday Gift Box, 9.1 oz, 24 Count

-Terry's Chocolate Orange, Christmas 3 Pack, Original Milk Chocolate Orange - 5.53oz, Dark Chocolate Orange - 5.53oz and Milk Chocolate Orange with Popping Candy - 5.18oz

-Russell Stover Holiday Assorted Milk Chocolate & Dark Chocolate Gift Box, 9.4 oz. (16 pieces)

-Merci Finest Assorted Chocolate Candy Christmas Gift Box, 7 Oz

The great thing about going into the store together is that you get to pick out exactly what you want. You can pick out whatever flavors you want for the price that you are willing to spend.

Once you have you chocolate, sit down and have a little candlelit picnic in your living room. Lay out the chocolates and take turns trying your fancy chocolates! You can blindfold each other and try to guess the flavor or parody all those fancy chocolate commercials on TV. Just have fun with it.

I hope you have an outstanding day and an even better date!
