Legal Graffiti Date

I always am interested in learning new things and exploring new cultures (no surprise there). One thing I have always wanted to learn more about is street graffiti. When I see it in tunnels or on signs or places its not supposed to be it's not my favorite, but if there is a wall of well planed out artistic graffiti work I am always impressed. Those people are far more talented than I will ever be.

I saw a mural of graffiti the other day and was so impressed that I wanted to try it out for myself. The problem? I live in a very small town with not many classes offered on basic art, much less street art. But I've never been one to give up that easy. Hence: the Legal Graffiti Date was born.

Supplies:

A large board (I would buy one at Home Depo personally)

Spray paint of your choice

Old clothes (just in case)

There is a fantastic YouTube video I found that takes you through all the steps of graffiti, from the most basic to the most impressive. I would suggest watching that before and during your painting as a guide. I will link it here.

Lay your board outside where you have enough space to paint without worrying about the paint accidentally getting anywhere.

As always, make sure to include food. Leave a bowl of snacks for the two of you to munch on or go out for ice cream while your masterpiece is drying.
