Minor League Baseball Date

I love going to baseball games. Some of my favorite memories growing up were going to the local college baseball games with my grandpa. While I would love to watch more games, sometimes that isn't possible for me. Between the prices that come with the Major League ballparks and the distance that is required for me to travel sometimes, I needed to find another solution. While the local college teams are great, I was led to another option: minor league baseball games.

With minor league games, you get all the fun of traditional baseball games, just in a smaller (and cheaper) level. Here is a detailed set of instructions on how to plan your own minor league baseball date.

First, you have to find a team to watch.

I would suggest going to this website. It lists all the teams in each state, where they play, and when they play.

Second, buy yourself some tickets. You can usually buy them on the teams website.

Third, dress up. While you don't have to buy team jerseys, dressing up in the home teams colors always makes you feel a little bit more part of it all.

Fourth, enjoy the game! Buy some food (or bring your own if the don't serve food), cheer loud, and have so much fun. Who knows, you might even discover your new favorite team.
