Halloween Costumes Thrift Date

It is finally one of my most favorite times of the year! During this month, I like to start wearing my sweaters, light the pumpkin spice candles, and pretend it still isn't 91 degrees outside. You start seeing cute dates popping up all over social media. It also marks the start of the "Holiday Season" with many people's favorite holiday: Halloween.

This date is something of a two part date. First you will go buy the costumes. Then, you will wear them on Halloween! The only "supply" you really need on this date is acsess to at least one thrift store. It does not even matter if your thrift store is not very good because you will be using the clothes you buy in part one to dress up in part two.

First step: decide what you want to dress up as.

If you guys aren't dating yet or you don't want to wear matching costumes, feel free to ignore the following ideas. But if you really want those cute pictures, here are some good couple dress up ideas.

After you find your theme, head to your thrift store and hunt together to find the perfect pieces to go into your halloween costumes.

After you buy your clothes take them home, give them a wash, and try it on! If you need to do any extra crafting for your costume, this would be the perfect time to do it.

After that, you are done! Just be prepared for part two of this date when you actually have to wear the costumes on Halloween!

As always, please incorporate food into the date! Even if you guys are just snacking on candy while trying on the clothes. Food always brings in those happy hormones! It is good to keep in mind that this date will only be fun if your partner is willing to dress up with you. If not, not only is the date pointless, but it will not be a fun time for either of you!
